Saw this yesterday on the tele its about a swan a young male that is looked after by a carer in "El Escorial" in Madrid. He has gotten closer and closer to the swan whom are not normally so nice and close to humans normally I say there are probably more cases like this one but this I thought in all the turmoil that is going on its such a change to see something really nice. Actually the swan has flown off and yes they can fly and how. I reckon it was time for him to find a mate and have young ones. They follow their instincts. The commentary is in spanish sorry guys that is the way it is but the images say much more than words can tell. Personally I love swans and I actually saw one fly off just like that out of the lake it was on and they have a very powerful flight. Have a great week ahead all and I truly hope the swan has found his mate already the carer will miss him we know but the swan needs to follow his heart and that is what he has done bless him. Sue. Song is you have got a friend in me.

Not the typical kind of animal story involving a swan. It sounds cute but a little sad when they swan had to leave.

Thing is Jan he is old enough now to fly off and look for his mate out there somewhere. Wishing him a safe journey. Thought the video of the guy and the swan was beautiful.

@lovinangelsinstead21 It is beautiful and he'll be happy to know the swan will also be happy to find his destiny.

Most animals can show affection in one way or another if we are patient with them.

Yes I know but they are not popular because they are quite unfriendly when someone tries to approach them without warning. He has been looking aftter that swan since he was very young. They will hiss at you and raise their wings in defence if you try to get close to them even if you have the best of intentions its just the way they are.

@JudyEv Yes but the call of the wild has been stronger in him than all that and he has flown off to other places of which there are plenty here to look for a mate he is at the right age.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I understand that but if you've brought up a creature, then they usually act differently towards us.

I think so too as swans don´t have a great poplarity rating here in Spain a lot are killed by "people" that do not understand that they are willd not something you can keep in a pond or a garden. Much like the beautiful Bengali Tigers however I would not try to keep either one of them they would be a real handful.
