What's for dinner tonight?
I decided to make a pork stew, and it is cooking up very nicely. I think this will be yummy for sure.
I cubed some pork steak and set it aside. Then I cut up some red potatoes, onions, and Brussels sprouts.
I put in the pork chunks with some unsalted butter and olive oil and cooked it up with some No Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, and a little bit of cayenne pepper.
Cooked that for a bit then added the potatoes and onions. Cooked that for a little bit.
Added in a can of beer, some soy sauce, some Worcestershire sauce and then added in the baby carrots and the Brussels sprouts.
Added in some minced garlic, oregano, and Italian seasoning, plus a little bit of cumin.
Then I added in a can of cream of chicken soup and a can of water, plus a can of tomato sauce.
Before all is said and done I will make a rue with some cornstarch just to thicken it up a bit. It will cook for about an hour and a half. We'll probably eat it with some sour cream, shredded cheese, and crushed saltine crackers.
I don't say it's a masterpiece. But I think it will definitely be good eats.

Sounds yummy. Too bad I can't try something like this as I don't eat pork.

@porwest the things one does for love. If it weren’t for hubby I’d have never given up pork, or seafood.

@lovebuglena I would never give up anything I like for love, and someone who loves me would not make me do it.

@MommyOfEli2013 Especially on a budget, stew is just what the doctor ordered. It's cheap, it's delicious. Can't go wrong there at all.

The pork stew sounds delicious. I was left without groceries today. Every month when my SS comes in I order groceries but today the delivery schedule was full up and I have to wait until tomorrow,
