Hi there! I’m a registered nurse and I know how much stress this year has given an impact to all of us. Since mental health is overlooked and gives an impression/ stigma in society, I wanna start by asking you:
-How are you doing and feeling these days?
Drop your answers by commenting down below and if you aren’t comfortable to comment, you may message me.
Thanks!

I am actually okay and taking this pandemic an opportunity to be with my daughter. I work away from her before this lockdowns and this is the only time I really spent longer with her while still able to work online. Reading or listening to inspirational songs or materials helped me a lot to not get affected that much by the virus. Although, I am scared but my faith gives me assurance that everything will be okay.

Oh that’s good to hear! I’m sure your daughter appreciates all the time that you spend with her. And yes, hold on to your faith, as long as you believe that things will be okay, they will be. Keep safe!

@Katrinaa_23 I see your sister lives in York. Yes, my daughter's year group can't go to school for the next 2 weeks as two of the students have coronavirus. Then is challenging as my disabled son has a medical appointment tomorrow.

Oh I’m sorry to hear about that. I’ve heard about the lockdown in your place. My sister who’s in York right now said that things could get worse. I hope not. Stay safe!

Welcome to My Lot. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your concern. I think we should be asking how you are because because of being a registered nurse and being on the front line during this horrible period.

Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate that. Honestly, it really hasn’t bothered me that much. Well a bit when the pandemic first started to hit but gradually I adapted to it. Stay safe!

@Katrinaa_23 They are that is very true. In a way I am thankful I have never had a job so have never experienced "being let go" by an employer

I have suffered with anxiety issues for a long time and it varies from day to day. I have found that taking long walks and meditating to be helpful for me at least!!

You are absolutely right - mental health is certainly under strain in these difficult times. I am personally not feeling any different, in that my lifestyle has not changed markedly since before the problem started, but I know that my live-in son is not finding things easy at present. He has a condition related to Aspergers and has had good and bad spells his entire life (he is now 27).

I teach part-time, and it is quite stressful. However, my small kids are a great stress reliever. Also, I found this online community with 'crazy' members that always make me laugh. :D
