DIY/home remedies for hair growth

Not sure if it’s just me getting older, being a little more stressed out than usual, or wearing tight ponies all the time, blow drying and straightening my hair all the time, but I have noticed the hair near my scalp-not as thick as it used to be! In fact it feels rather thin. I am starting to try some DIY/home remedy/lifestyle changes to fix this or at least try to see what works. Here are some things I started doing: -Taking a BIOTIN vitamin. Haven’t noticed any difference but that was about a week ago only. Supposed to be good for hair and nail growth. -Wash hair less frequently. Right now I do it about once per day followed by blow dry. I often do not have time to air dry the hair. Maybe will start using COOL setting on now dryer and see if that works. -Egg yolk hair mask (have not tried this one but will later today, can’t hurt!) -Massage your scalp on the regular to stimulate the follicles (weird but I will try it) -Rinse with cold water, not hot, after shampooing (this seems like torture to me personally). Have you ever tried any home remedies to help with hair growth? And did they ever help you? So tell!

I've heard about the egg yolk treatment but never try it as well. I think @SHOHANA mentioned about it the other days as well. Maybe it's a good idea to try. My hair needs all the pampering it can get.

I liked the egg yolk thing. A little messy, but my hair felt nice afterwards. And luckily after shampooing it, it did not still smell like eggs. LOL

Thanks for mentioning my friend, I use an egg for hair to make it soft and smooth, just break it and blend It, apply it on hair (wait an hour) before having shower.

I like the egg mask one. Not sure if the vitamins - biotin and collagen work.

@maezee ok. I read it here already. The egg thing for the hair. I might look into this deeper

My hair is thick, both because of vitamins and because I use henna, which coats the hair. One remedy that is highly suggested is to make "tea" from rosemary and use that as a hair rinse.

Very nice. Fresh rosemary or how does that work? I will check it out. I am feeling like the egg mask worked for a little bit, and the Biotin seems to be maybe making me happier? But not sure about helping my hair. LOL

My hair broke off from all these things. I'm going to try some shampoos and over the counter items for hair growth

My hair is thinning too. Though I massage my scalp every now and then, my hair still keeps on falling down the floor.

Personally I find the most effective is combing my hair with wooden comb for ten minutes. It triggers blood circulation and give oxygen to hair follicles. Using ayrvedic non sulphate shampoos and yes cold water post shampoo for healthier shine
