Today's our rest day and it's now past 3 a.m. here.
My husband and I watched the first few episodes of Barbarian in Netflix.
Hope you're all doing well.
Almost all day, I saw heartbreaking photos in Facebook. It felt so heavy to see people braving the typhoon/flood/rescue, especially every time I saw an elderly, a baby, and a pet.
Before going to bed, I checked again and I just feel like sharing to you how this shared Tiktok video made me feel lighter. These are men trying to stay calm and have fun while drinking, and rowing through the flood.
Please don't judge their acts. They're just surely trying to make a scene to spread positivity in the midst of a disaster.
I hope that all the affected ones have somewhere safe to stay now and may God warmly embrace them all.
Will catch up with you all soon.

There was even two guys who just put a floating board and then they put their liquors in. People do anything to stay positive.

Sorry you felt that way. The video's intent was just really to make fun. Even the music used was fun. Some Filipinos have that attitude of trying to make difficult and serious things a little funny to make things light. It still depends on the situation though. Maybe these three are friends and theyre pretty used to the flooding in their area.
