Paydayyyyy....!!! I have got the payment ..great news to me this morning. .. But the bad news is that I can't transfer it to my bank because I can transfer $10 minimum , not lesser now.. and my amount is $5.... (PayPal changed their T&C) so Do I have to wait for the 2nd payout .. freak.!!I am worried that will PayPal keep this payment or will it return it back to the sender..

Don't worry, PayPal won't send that back to the sender.

Not sure, PayPal cannot keep money for Indian members, they have to send it to a bank.

PayPal works differently for India. You should ask to Indian members how they deal with this. A solution would be to remove your PayPal address from your profile until your balance reaches $10.

Now I understand why some Indian members do this, they wait to have more than $ 10 and then they add their PayPal address.

Paypal will keep that amount. It's like a bank that keep the money under your name. I also don't transfer my money in Paypal instantly to my bank account or card. Just keep it there. It's not going anywhere.

@Dreamerby They send it to my Paypal. I don't add my bank account here. I withdraw the money in Paypal to my bank account.

PayPal keeps my money, I let my money on my PayPal account and I often pay using what I have deposited there when I place online orders. I do not know it works in your country.

We don't have that situation here in the U.S. THAT being said, PayPal will not send your money back or keep it. You will simply have to wait until you have enough to make a transfer.

@porwest yes maybe the exchange rate is the reason, but still they can charge if they want. that's what they always do if I am not wrong . I don't remember exactly

@ShifaLk Not sure why they would place a minimum on things, unless it has something to do with exchange rates and bank fees for transfers in India or something like that.

Why will it return to sender? When sender issues a refund request, then that situation arises. BTW, I came to know new PayPal policy through your post.

I just checked the mail from Paypal and it says they have already transferred the money to my bank account in India today that is 15th November. It is not yet reflected in my bank account balance as it is too early. My amount was also less than $10. May be the condition imposed, you are referring to, is for new registered accounts with Paypal.

Yay. I got it too. I am also using PayPal since 2014 actually. But the main thing here is that we manually cannot transfer if it is below $10 but automatically they transfer to the bank... that's what happened with me also... same like yours.. so I am absolutely happy now

Peculiar situation. I must have also faced the same problem. My payout was also less than $10 but I have not seen the mail. i will have to look for it. As per the Paypal arrangement with R.B.I. they can not retain the amount for any Indian citizen. They have to draw it to the customer's bank account in India as soon a s the money is received.

The money should remain in your PayPal account. You are not required to transfer it to the bank. But you are not from the USA so not sure.
