Oh my, what a week I have had! This upper plate is driving me up the wall. I can only wear them half a day now. My gums feel so raw. I need to go for another adjustment but I want to wait until my gums heal a little more.
Not only am I having trouble with my gums but trying to find something to eat has been frustrating. Oh, I have plenty of soft foods like jello, pudding, and soup. The problem is, soft foods don't stay with me long and im always hungry.
I have found some foods that I can eat and that are more filling. A baked potato, scrambled eggs, the inside of a biscuit, and a salmon patty. The salmon patty was from a batch my brother cooked before he passed away. I heated it in the microwave and that kept it from being crispy. My favorite so far has been the potato and salmon patty. If anyone has any other suggestions for more foods that are soft, yet filling, please let me know.
Overall, I am doing good. Daisy is doing good also. She is walking almost like normal. She still has some weakness in her legs but it's only been a few weeks since her surgery. I'm confident that she will have a full recovery.

Hot oatmeal. Chicken (or any other meat) salad. I hope you heal nicely.

@GardenGerty I didn't think about chicken until you mentioned it. I've been eating a lot of it lately.

That sounds so difficult, I am sorry that you are dealing with this.
Could you manage mac and cheese or mashed potatoes, those are both so filling.
I love squash, which is soft, and I say that I could live on it because I eat it like potatoes and they fill me up.
Can you eat bananas, ripe ones at all?

Just keep trying different things. Your gums will tuffen up as you keep eating stuff.

I'm sure it's hard trying to eat while your gums are healing and you're probably hungry. Potatoes are a good choice . How about tuna sandwich?
That's good news about Daisy

Mashed potatoes would be nice and soft. And with all the carbs in the potatoes, it should help you feel full.

I've been eating a lot of potatoes, both mashed and baked. Its my favorite meal . I have to make an appointment for an alignment and to have my gums checked. It feels like there are knots all along the gums and I'm not sure if its supposed to be that way.

I'm glad to hear that Daisy is doing better; but not so glad that you're having so much difficulty. Try adding Ramen noodles to your soup (without the seasoning packet). I find it fills me up quite nicely. Tuna noodle casserole is soft too, if you like tuna....or use canned chicken. Hope you feel better soon.
