Rambling Part 6: Supernatural penultimate (very SPOILERY!!!)

Ok! Now that the Destiel thing is out of the way, I think I can move on to the actual episode 19. (Just now? Lol! xD) Ok. Like I said, this felt like a finale. So I don't know what the heck is going to happen in the 20th episode!?!? In this episode, Sam and Dean managed yet again, against all odds, to "find another way" when all seemed hopeless and lost. And Jack was able to absorb enough power to withstand Chuck's bid to destroy him, and he was able to absorb Chuck's power and become the new God, leaving Chuck just a normal human... And so, at the end of the episode, Sam and Dean are back at the Bunker. Jack didn't come home with them, but he's around, he's everywhere, he's in everything... The episode even ended with a montage of the many different characters we met along the way... and ended with Sam and Dean closing the trunk of the Impala... Such a nice ending. :) Such a nice finale... :) But wait, that isn't the finale??? There's a 2 hour long 20th episode? What on this earth??? *scratches head* Well, it's true that there is one thing missing from this episode that points to the fact that it is not yet the finale - it's missing the iconic theme song, "Carry On Wayward Son". So there is that. Supernatural was originally intended as a 5-season arc. And the season 5 finale was beautiful! Some people choose to consider that as the series finale. But some, myself included, are glad they continued on... But in truth, if the very final scene of that season 5 finale was removed (a cliffhanger ending that boded what was coming in season 6), it would have been a great series finale. Not a completely happy ending because Sam "died", but, I guess, a bittersweet one. :) And that is the exact feeling I have from this episode 19. Bittersweet. Cas is gone. Lots of other people are gone... Jack did not come home with the boys. But there is a sense of accomplishment, of peace. A sense that things are better... So I'm actually a little worried about the finale. :P ... ... ...
