so I'm in India from march it's November now, it's 'Daman' where I am now the whether is lovely the people as well, it's actually a union territory, there are a lot of beaches I've been to 3 of them, it's been a long time since I'd traveled because of this pandemic thing and I'm enjoying my stay here.
how're you doin'?

I think you got confused by the title, i didn't meant traveling abroad, i traveled from a state to another, which is not actually a state but a union territory 'Daman'. I'm here in India from the last 9/10 months

It is lovely that you traveled to a union territory which has lots of beaches. We were meant to go on a trip to the USA and the Caribbean however it was cancelled due to corona virus. Last summer we went on a inter rail journey that took us from England to Turkey. We crossed Turkey on different tickets and then bused it over to Georgia. We arrived in Batumi and found it challenging to find our accommodation. The further away place we went to was over in Armenia. I wish to travel overseas again though at the moment it is impossible.

@lilianharp It was really lovely to cross Turkey by train. Armenia was very special because stayed at a kind and helpful accommodation. They gave us a fascinating day trip to see places and we swam at the lake at the end of the day. It was awful trying to get back to the train station to go back to Georgia. The taxi came late and took us to the bus station. The taxi driver didn't talk English. I had to make the noise of a train and point. In the end we got there just in time to get on the overnight train. Going back to Georgia we stayed close to the amazing garden overlooking the sea. We had a full day there exploring the beautiful garden. Coming back to Turkey we missed the bus and had to take a taxi for five hours.

@maximax8 sounds great, you must have been exhausted by the five-hour taxi trip, why did the taxi driver didn't know English, what language do they speak?

The last time I traveled (if you don't count my brother-in-law's memorial just out-of-town) was ... last November, I went to my usual weekend retreat in Red River, New Mexico (City & State, in the United States), which is about the only travel I do all year anyway.

sorry to hear about your brother-in-law, what happened to him?
It must have been fun there, I think there is also a ski resort in the red river, hope everything gets back to normal so you can travel again

Some of us don't travel much but last February right before the pandemic was realized we got to go on a cruise for the first time ever and that was nice.
Some members here like when new members write a short of introductory post. If you're sixteen I'm guessing you're still in school or living with your parents when not vacationing.

@lilianharp well that's good that you don't have to support yourself while enjoying the time there.
