I Have to Work Tomorrow (Sunday)

And I hate it. My work schedule is Monday to Friday, and since I am an exempt employee, I am not tied to a set working hours as long as I meet 40 hours of work in a week. Yesterday, the senior managers decided that to prepare for the Wednesday call/conference, we should all meet on Sunday to get everything ready. I have been reminding everyone about this since last week. But because of our crazy schedule and the effect of the virus in our workforce, it was getting harder to get us all together in one room. When I told everyone that I will be going on vacation starting the day after the call/conference so they will be left to deal with the aftermath, they asked me if Sunday will work for me. I could make it work, not that I am going to like it, but what else can I do? If I am not starting my long overdue vacation next week, I would not have agreed to this. But since I am taking some break, then I figure alright, let's knock this off our to do list.

Be done with it and then let them handle whatever else coming up. You're going on a vacation! It's finally time to relax!

Exactly! And because of this I will have to also change my schedule at home, like the chores and errands that I need to do.

My job is Monday thru Friday also and the only time I did work weekends is if I volunteered in another department that had a call in or something. I did that to have overtime money but I am not doing that anymore. I hope your day went quickly and soon enough your vacation will be here.

I hate working on sundays too. But unfortunately I gotta do it tonight.
