I posted earlier about my friend Dev who was going to start a gym. Now he is facing difficulty because he does not have money to buy any gym equipment. He is a very talented person but he is not able to bear the cost of the different machines required to start the gym.
The total cost would be somewhere around 10000 dollars. I am not sure what needs to be done in order to get gather some funds for him. His parents do minimum wage work hence would not be able to support him. I have been able to arrange the space for him but there is no dumbells, bench press table, weights, treadmill, cycle, mat, shoulder muscle machine.
There are no second hand machinery available in the market if available only some machines are available. Moreover the floor needs to have some carpet or grass cover. There are no lease options available as well. I am not in contact with anyone who would be willing to invest in his venture.
I am looking for some ideas, solutions or any suggestion that can be helpful. The photo is of my friend Dev.

Maybe this is a sign he should not start the gym. It is, of course, a business, and if he does not know how to attract investors and create partnerships to get his business started, he will probably fail in the first year of opening even if he finds the money.
Most businesses are not started with one's own money. They are started with other people's money.

@piyushbhatia1 It is called attracting investors. There are many businesses I own that I do not run. People come to you with a business proposal, and if they can convince you that they have something profitable and viable, they may have an interest in putting in some money—for a piece of ownership and with the expectation of a gain of course.
That being said, most of the businesses I own are through the stock market. But I do also have some preferred shares in businesses that are not publicly traded.

Well I know that finally he got to start one. I read your recent discussion and that brought me to this one. So I guess he found some way to help him. Did he go for some business loan?? That's what comes as a first suggestion.

He could start by doing something that would look like weights to him.

Hopefully he can start up his business soon. What about visiting bank office to ask for business loan?
