We won't be going anywhere this year but I still have fond memories of the day and the honeymoon that came after. We went to England for our honeymoon where I got to meet all of hubby's family who couldn't make the wedding. Most of the two weeks we spent at his grandmother's lol, we couldn't say no to her invitation lol... such a sweet lady. I could go on and on but I do have one memory that scared me to death... I got locked in a restaurant bathroom! You would think that it wouldn't be a big deal with ladies coming and going... but no one came down and I couldn't get out!! The door was stuck or something but there was no way that I could budge it. Not a good memory for someone who had never been out of Canada, first time on a plane... lol. It sounds funny now but I should have known that hubby would come looking for me sooner or later. He thought that it was hilarious!! ** Anything happen on your honeymoon that you didn't see coming??

@Hate2Iron It never happened to me, but I usually ask to my husband to stay nearby and to come to help if I scream.

Not really but on our 30th anniversary we woke to the news of the twin tower mayhem. So that was something to remember the day by.

That's a precious memory to remember and tell your grandkids. Even though it's not funny at the time, it sure is now. Happy anniversary!

What a hilarious anecdote! I know you had such a bad time being locked up in the bathroom, but it is a laughable story you'll tell forever and people will be surprised by it. England must be a beautiful country. Where in England did you visit?

I didn't have a honeymoon per se. We had a destination wedding in Cozumel Mexico. My ex did throw away the wedding ring though and surprised me with the one that I *really* wanted. That freaked both the judge and me totally out.
