What should be done about this, children are not attending school or skipping classes jst to play this computer games. Should parents be blamed for this or should we blame the inertnet cafes or every thing inbetween. greetings. : )

well anything that gives us pleasure--we get addicted to it.but the particular thing looses meaning to us in a few days.then the addiction gets over.same is the case with computer games.but parents should see to it that playing too much games don't harm their daily habits and studies

Yes. computer games are addictive. but we should blame no one for this. computer were created for the advance ment of knowledge of mankind. we should only blame ourselves coz we're the only one who controls our time.

It is a parents responsibility to control it.. My kids play video games... my oldest plays online.. but we have it set that the internet shuts down on the kids computers at 6pm and dosent come on until 10am... we limit the amount they are on and they are also involved in sports so they dont have a lot of time for it... but it is defently a parents responsibility to monitor what a child is doing on the internet, what games they are playing and how long they are playing.

thats a good one, the internet provider is the one shutting the net down at a specified time i like that very much at least what ever the child will say parents can blame the provider sort of for putting the net offline. i really like that arrangement, thank you for your post. greetings. : )

Yes, It is but with games you can be a great player. You can practice the game you want but lets just put the priority of school before play.

we should blame no one for games, because of the fact that they're made and that it's the kids choice to get them, theyu should be more responible espically the parents at times.

They sure can be addictive. Parents should be able to control their children though. So like someone else said, I think its more to the parents to blame then the child itself.

We shouldn't blame anything. Maybe the parents for not setting ground rules. But I agree very much. They are addictive. I've been playing Counter Strike for twelve hours straight. Starting at 8 in the morning to 10. Oops my bad more than 12 hours.
