I'm usually slim, and now I'm also a breastfeeding mother. I am eating but I seem to be losing weight anyway. It's very hrd for me to gain weight and now I'm severely underweight... Any suggestion on what I can eat to help me to be at a healthy weight again?

I hope there is no undiagnosed conditions like diabetes or thyroid disturbance there. You need a good protein rich diet along with exercise to gain weight in a healthy way. Banana milk shake with dates and other dry fruits is a good choice.

i'm trying the banana shakes currently, maybe I'm making it too thin ... My mother has diabetes so I think I should check it out..... I can't stop craving sweet things either. and i used to absolutely hate sweets

@Chineetah Well craving for sweet might be because of all hormonal changes that your body has faced lately. Better go for a diabetes and thyroid check up. Not good to ignore it for long.

I'm not a nutritionist nor a doctor. But by experience if you eat more carbohydrates you can easily gain weight. If nothing happens something in your metabolism process is wrong. It's appropriate to see your doctor.

@Chineetah Maybe snacks between meals. No point eating when you feel stuffed.
Nuts and avocados are expensive here.
Hope you figure it out.

Yes, I love food very much, I eat anything. I got tons of avocados the other day too. nuts in my country can be very expensive though. Some people tell me to eat twice the amount of what I usually eat while nursing. I don't think that will go too well because I get totally full after eating the usual amount.
