No ocean and no sand, which are a mile away, (you can see the high rises on the beach in the back of the 2nd picture) but we have the sky--Victoria Park--all were taken at 4 PM on Sunday and Monday so I can't quite explain the 3rd shot (The camera? Not the cameraman!!)
This is what I see from my window! Who could ask for anything more?!
We will be having a 'cold spell' this week with temperatures only going to a high of 79 degrees and one morning will be in the 60s but no complaints as today (Monday) and yesterday (Sunday) it was in the 80s with a low humidity and no rain!

@GreatMartin I wasn't even born then!
My first trip was to visit my grandfather in St. Augustine. I think I was 15 or 16.

It's a wonderful view and you're only a mile away from the beach if you really want to get there. We were at 87 today . . . but it's supposed to drop at least 10 degrees tomorrow and for the rest of the week - yah, our kind of 'cold spell'.

@GreatMartin That IS a plus! But how about the natives there . . . don't they crowd the beaches? Out here they do .

One of the pluses--if you can call it that---of the virus epidemic is that the beaches are almost empty--no tourists!!

@much2say No! Just like most New Yorkers don't go to the top of the Empire State building or to a Broadway show!! Some do but it is mostly tourists--same here with the beaches! (Most people here use pools!!)

I lived in Laguna Beach and Malibu for a couple of years in the 1950s--I prefer the east coast!

Oh, I feel so sorry for you.
Lovely pictures. Florida is lovely...a “different kind of lovely” but lovely nevertheless. I hopefully can head back there if the weather turns cold here.

I see you still have last year's yacht. And the year before and the one before that. Are you trying to make the Dems think you don't have any money?

Great photos. I wish I could see both the beach and the river from my windows but I can't. I am going to see if I can get to the beach this weekend, Just to make sure it is still there I have not been since all this craziness started,
