Lunch and Why Don’t I Want Dinner?

I made a tomato and fresh mozzarella salad for lunch and topped it off with virgin olive oil and fresh basil from S.O.B (Son of Bertrumd), S.O.B.’s father. Bertrumd is the name of the basil plant and S.O.B. is the cutting my son cultivated for me. It is thriving in my greenhouse kitchen window. I used up the tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, and am still stuffed to the gills. Hubs is making dinner right now. I hope I can do it justice. Sometimes I eat like a bird - a vulture! Do you have a hearty appetite?

I had food twice today, both from wendys. Plus a milkshake at home. If i eat anything else, it'll be a piece of candy for the chocolate I'm craving.

You sound just like me - not that I eat Wendys. So looking forward to a piece of candy later during TV time.

@Courtlynn Belgian chocolate with almonds. Our son buys it for us all the time. I think he's trying to turn me into a blimp.

Ohhh, Hubby likes that with balsamic vinegar too. S.O.B. is still going strong! What is your Hubs making? I tend to eat A LOT. If I am not stuffing myself, then you know something is wrong with me .

@DianneN Burns your mouth? We have a bottle of balsamic glaze too (it's thicker) - I wonder if that would be less of a burn sensation. Wait, so what happened with the steaks? You are smart to make those meatballs ahead of time . . . I'll bet they are scrumptious! Yes yes yes - we love our food !

@much2say If I use balsamic vinegar in a salad, I use a drop mixed with the oil. Being the pig that I am, I love a thick bleu cheese dressing or nothing at all. Steak is in the refrigerator waiting...... Tonight it's meatloaf. Enjoy your dinner!!!!

Balsamic vinegar burns my mouth for some reason, but it is good, too. Hubs was going to make a steak I defrosted, then decided to make rigatoni and my frozen meatballs. I couldn't finish dinner except for the meatballs. I love my meatballs!. You and I are foodies and food lovers. Nothing wrong with that!

I do have a good appetite most days and have to push away from the table so I don’t overeat Tonight we had sandwiches. I had pastrami, salami, provolone cheese with a slice of tomato and mayo on Jewish Rye with pickled okra on the side.

I hear you! Your sandwich sounds like our type of sandwiches, although I use ham with salami and provolone or pastrami and corned beef combo on Jewish rye with Gulden's spicy brown mustard. Your sandwich is so Jewish/Southern sounding with the pastrami and Jewish rye and mayo and pickled okra!

I don't now but I used to. I've deliberately worked at having smaller servings and now I can't really eat a lot.

They say you can't shrink your stomach, but if it works for you, that's great. I think mine is stretched to the size of a cow!

@DianneN With all the exercise you do, you would need a lot more food than me. Actuallly I lied in my comment - I can eat huge amounts of chocolate and ice-cream.

Your salad sounds good I have yet to try that too. I'm sure most of us fluctuate between birds depending on what we ate previously or what's being cooked. Right now if like my husband to ask if I need anything as I had a speaker for supper and am ready to finish my did hear I started this afternoon. It's such a chore to go get it myself with my foot and not walking well yet. Enjoy whatever you eat.
