We must use surgical masks here, those are the only accepted if we go inside the stores. They distributed masks in our mail boxes here.

@ckciasigurl No, the cloth masks are not allowed, they do not protect enough those around you.

Stay safe, you and your baby. I use surgical mask and sometimes cloth. Recently I saw a post here suggesting about the head loop mask so that it won't hurt the ears.

Some restaurants that don't do dine-in might offer a free mask for carry out custmores who forget to wear a mask. However, I personally, cannot wear a mask. Health reasons. So, I don't, and never have. I still go out. I still do normal things. I still go shopping.

@ckciasigurl Well, kind of. You can't legally or ethelically make a mask "mandatory" in any place. Because there are people with health conditions who can't wear them. Those people also don't always have the luxury to stay home. So while some places will say they are "required", they don't actually stop you from entering stores, police aren't potroling the streets looking for non-mask wearers. In fact, in conjunction with laws like the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) they need to put exceptions in their "mandates" to accommodate th those who might have a disability that perhibits mask-wearing. We also, when it come to disability, operate on a "good faith system". Basically, if you say you can't wear a mask for a medical reason, the person needs to respect that (or store) and not prevent you from entering. Some states have issued fines for non-mask wearing. Some larger cities and counties in my state have done the same. But not my city and not my county. Here, (depending on the city, county or state) most people won't even question you if you don't wear a mask, because they don't want a confrontation on their hands. Nor would they want someone trying to toss around the word discrimination and try to file a lawsuit against a company over a mask.

@ckciasigurl I think it was a non-profit group that was giving them out. I don't think our government was involved with the free masks.

My company provided us with fabric mask with pocket for filters. If I need to go outside I'll wear fabric mask or surgical mask. Government did provide free mask before but the mask's price is quite cheap now. So we buy our own mask.
