Book suggestions

Looking for some author/book suggestions.. I don't read as much as I did before kids but would like to check out some new books.. I used to like creepy authors like r.l.stine, robert cormier, Lois duncan, stephen king... and also young love/ coming of age authors like meg cabot and kate cann... Anyone with suggestions similar to those?

Ah, I remember those authors from back in high school or middle school. I don't know of any young ADULT books, but I do enjoy mystery/crime authors Lisa Gardner, James Patterson, Tami Hoag, to name a few.
