I am wondering how to say no to children if they want something beyond our limits or how to correct them if they have some bad habits or something you parents want to change them Without beating them.In India we used to beat children to correct them. But it is changing slowly.Nowadays educated people are increasing. So they are not rude and they don't control their children. They are reasoning with children. But sometimes cant avoid to beat children.Because that is how we raised. And that is what we see in our day to day life.Even teachers used to beat children.I was beaten by my teacher when I was in 4th grade. But our government dont allow any beating of children.I hope this practice is happening in East counties only not in west countries. So How do you raise your children without beating them?

It was never supposed to be a beating but a way to wake the child up so they would listen to our instruction. Some kids are more willful than others. Many here in America withhold favorite things like playing games or watching tv as punishment when a child doesn't obey. It's probably okay to scold children just so the parents aren't yelling. I had a six month old daughter once that was heading toward a flower pot. She looked back at me like she knew she was wrong. If we begin training then when they are young then as they get older it should be a bit easier.

Beating is not ok but scolding is way better. I think it is a best punishment withhold their favourite things and not being physically hurt them.Yes training in young should be easier when they get old.

Yes. I dislike to beat children. My niece and nephew... Inhave never beaten them. Very rare once I slapped ny nephew and that also not in anger. But just to teach him something that he understands. I never get angry on children. My niece and nephew don't believe that i can even beat And the best thing is that they even listen to us, they're disciplined and very obeying kids. So I believe Beating does no good at all

@NoorNoor yes. We should be strict to them that they listen to us at first. No need should be there to say again and again

I'm not the right person to advise you. I don't beat my younger siblings, but I tend to things another way instead. Once I dragged Lil Bro to be tied up to a tree after he cursed and called someone a pig. That's insult in our language. I told him, I'll tied him up and let him be acquaintance with the wild pigs since he like them so much.

Kids are like soft clay you can give them any kind of shape, so beating is not the solution

I think most of us were raised been beaten by parents. Till I was in 12th I got beaten up by my teachers . Later I came to know that any kind of physical touch from Teacher is prohibited with new rule.
