Does Solar Panel Cause Cancer

WE apply sunscreen to protect ourselves from harmful UV rays. I have read some articles saying the energy from the sun that is used to light some homes can cause skin cancer.
I am trying to be frugal and save money and used to think of investing in solar panels. But after coming across this information, I changed my mind.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! The sun produces a very wide spectrum of radiation besides visible light all the way from ultra-violet (most of which we are protected from by the atmosphere) on the one side ('ultra'violet' means 'beyond/above violet') down to infra-red ('below red'), which is radiant heat and what warms things when the sun shines on them. infra-red rays are NOT dangerous (unless they make things too hot, of course). They are the same as you get from a fire or a cooker element. Solar panels collect energy from the LOW end of the spectrum, rather than from the high end, and convert it into electricity. Electricity is a different kind of energy and DOES NOT CAUSE CANCER!
The stuff you have been reading is FAKE NEWS and complete bullshit. DO NOT pass it on!

A different way to think about this: Your body produces electricity on its own. The thoughts you have, the movements you make are all produced from electrical sparks in your brain. You eat food to help you produce the things your body needs to produce the sparks. The solar panel acts in a similar way. The sunlight is the food, that is then converted to electricity to power a lightbulb.

I've also heard that the sun light can cause skin cancer especially if you've been in the middle of it for a lot of hours.
With the solar panels I think it depends on where you're going to put it. Normally people put the solar panels in their roof which will not make any effect on the people since it's far from them

I wonder if the UV rays are also absorbed and transferred to the light bulb.

No, it will not. Like Owl said: The light is converted to electricity. This is one of those whacky conspiracy theories. Please, don't pay attention to it. And, please, please, don't pass it on to others. When you read things online that sound this way, please keep in mind that people make money off of spreading lies. If you read that article, then passed it on, the fear spreads, more people read the article, they make money.
