Karma, as many in the West now know, is intimately related with the principle of reincarnation. In India's greatest spiritual classic, Bhagavad-gita, Lord Krishna describes the soul as the source of consciousness and the active principle that animates the body of every living being. This vital force, which is of the same spiritual quality in all beings, is distinct from and superior to the matter comprising the temporary material form. The Bhagavad-gita states, "As a person puts on new garments, giving up old ones, similarly, the soul accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones." I am going to discuss/teach he law of karma here. You can ask questions and participate.

Hare krsna to you as well. I am happy to meet devotees here. Karma is indeed what we sow so we reap. The wise way of it is we sow an then offer it to the supeme lord and then we we reap it, we ae not attached ebcause we have given it to Him, we dont own it.

thanks for your repy. But it is not quite right. Karma means actaully results of our actions. Doing work properly means not incurring karma. How to do that work properly is by devotional service to the supreme lord. Otherwise work in this material word binds us to the result of those work. For mroe detials check www.asitis.com chapters 3 through 5.

I've always wondered, what is Karma relation to freewill. According to Karma, things that happen to us is a product of our choice, whether good or bad. So this means that if one person on earth does something bad, then that means ANOTHER PERSON on earth will HAVE to do something bad to the person, for the person to experience karma. Likewise, if one person does something GOOD, then another person will HAVE TO do something GOOD.
Likewise, when will Karma end? If someone does something bad, then that person will have to do something bad, and then another person to that person, bad. According to Karma, it can never end.
I certainly do believe in Karma, but these questions have been boggling my mind for some time.

Karma ends when when surrender to Krsna. Only complete surrender to the supreme lord helps us to get rid of Karma. That is the ony way. Surrender means to accept Krsna as the supreme personality of godhead and do everything in this life as an offering to him exactly as he says in Bhagavad Gita. I have another post on Bhagavad Gita. Check that out. Tommorow(friday) is bhagavad gita jayanti by the way. :)

from the root k?, "to do") is a word of ancient origin meaning action or activity and its subsequent results (also called karma-phala, "the fruits of action"). It is commonly understood as a term to denote the entire cycle of cause and effect as described in the philosophies of a number of Dharmic Religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism.
Karma is a sum of all that an individual has done, is currently doing and will do. Individuals go through certain processes and accompanying experiences throughout their lives which they have chosen, and those would be based on the results of their own creations: "karma". Karma is not about retribution, vengeance, punishment or reward. Karma simply deals with what is. The effects of all deeds actively create past, present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to others. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well.
so i believe

I don´t believe in any laws of karma. They don´t make any sense for me.
For example :
Person A suffers through the actions of person B.
It is said that person A suffered this as a result of its karma. Person B , altough an "agent" of karma, earned bad karma that must me paid in this life or another. Funny thing it. Doesn´t make any sense for me, not to mention the total and absolutely lack of evidence for it, or theories explaining how exactly it could work.

Yes I believe. It is true 100%. Whatever happiness and problems in life we are facing have link with our past life. The karma, may be right or wrong, it accumulates in our account. When we die and try for new birth, we come out with some accumulated karmas right or wrong both in nature. We may take birth in a hut or at Industrialist house. It is not on us totally. The god decides it as per our accumulation of karmas. It depends on us, how much and what we collect in this age, by doing sinful work or good quality work.
