But I ... I don't know why there hasn't been a female general manager in the MLB before her. Are there no women playing major-league baseball? is there a women's major-league-baseball? why not?

As far I as know, there are no female baseball leagues. I wish Kim Ng the best of luck getting the Miami Marlins back into playoff contention.
