Yes! I'm from the USA, and my 1st language is English. I think English is the most universal language... everyone should know it! :)

Yes according to me , english is very important in today's life.

It's hard to find a decent job overhere without the knowledge of the english language... Importance of Chinese will also climb in the future I guess :-)

I dont know if it is ESSENTIAL But..... I think without doubt it is now the Worlds first language Just about every country speaks it.... And if you meet people and they dont speak your language then they will probably speak English

i think so, because the world is getting smaller nowadays. i think it is because of globalization. And also, English is the international language. Many Asians are now studying English...
