My eight year old granddaughter Alaina loves to make things. She's very artistic with almost everything- drawing, fabric, make-up, gardening, etc. She gets an idea and she won't stop creating until she has a finished project that she's pleased with.
About a year ago, she decided to make herself look like "Wendy", the little girl on the logo for a popular fast food restaurant. I think she did very well, especially for a seven year old! I'm a proud Amma, can you tell?

@BloggerDi yer welcome :) young'uns need that fosterin', e'en if'n their works 're not brilliant to start. if'n they've a passion, they'll find their way. the more ya can 'xpose 'em to such, the better. particularly 'n these times when schoolin' seems to 'team focused'.

Thank you @crazyhorseladycx. Yes, her parents, other family members and teachers encourage her to continue creating. She often gets arts and crafts supplies as gifts for birthdays, etc.

I agree and thank you @JudyEv. She just used the yarn that her mom happened to have in the house. Resourceful!

Yes, I agree! Her uncle (my son) was the same way. Thanks @HazySue.

How cute. I have an 8-year-old daughter myself and she is always very passionate when she gets an idea to do something and sees it out to the end.

I need to follow the examples of your daughter and my granddaughter! I tend to be a starter but not a finisher of projects. I'm trying to change that. Thank you @BrittneeD.
