Of Exercise and a neighbor who must be loved.

Good Morning! I went out to walk a little earlier than I have been lately. It was slightly chilly, but not too bad. I almost said "fuh-ged-a-boutit" and made the walk very short. However, just as I was about to turn back towards home I saw a man jogging and thought "well if he can do that then I can certainly walk!" so I did. I even walked a slightly different path than I usually do. I had more cardio minutes today, though I spent twenty less minutes outside than I usually do. I'm losing weight at fractions of a lb which I'll take! So... The Neighbor. Now I could be wrong about this, but I think I heard a lawn mower somewhere in the neighborhood. Mind you, it was 7 o'clock in the morning. I also heard the sounds of traffic because we aren't too far from a highway, but I'm almost certain I heard a lawn mower. I thought "wow his neighbors must LOVE him!"

As it is Sunday, no sounds of lawn mower for sure here, the police would come and fine you.

I'm not exactly sure of our sound ordinance laws. I think 8 am is the starting time so they were still too early at around 7:30.

@LadyDuck It's more respectful not to make noise on Sundays, but I don't think it's outlawed here. I may be wrong.

I live in the countryside and here such activities of the neighbors are a very common thing.

@Nevena83 I love quiet areas to live in, but I don't mind going to city centers for some fun every once in awhile.

I am hoping to get more mowing done since I am off work.At seven in the morning the grass is much too wet, though.

Ah yes, I wouldn't want to traipse in the grass at that hour either. I have to dodge piles of leaves and limbs, but can walk on the curb here.

It is. I'm not exactly sure where it was in the neighborhood. To be honest though sometimes our law service guy comes about the same time. I've been woken up by him mowing ours and the neighors lawn. I saw him mowing three lawns on our road yesterday.

That's very inconsiderate to use a lawnmower at that time on a Sunday. Glad you got some exercise.

Yes it is. I hope that it didn't wake anyone, but I couldn't pinpoint exactly where it was coming from anyway. Thank You. I'm trying to plan a little hike with friends before it gets too cold.

7 am is way too early to be running a lawnmower.

Glad you had a good walk. And hope the lawnmower person doesn't make a habit of it!

I'm just glad the lawn mower person is far enough away that I wouldn't be able to hear it from home. I was about a mile away from home when I heard it.

Thank You! 5 miles is great! Especially on a day after not walking at all. Today was almost that for me but I made myself get up and get out there.
