Oh man, we picked up our candies and nuts today from Girl Scouts. My big girl was the top seller for her troop. Which is nice meaning she had a good amount in. So now I jsut got to go and bring them to where they belong. Thankful all of the orders that I have is to family!

So where do they get the nuts and candies? Why should they sell it? Is that some kind of tradition?

It’s a fall product they sell it doesn’t remake as much money as when they sell the cookies. The girls don’t make the candy nor do they do anything with the nuts. These are all prepackaged and the girls sell them is optional. It’s not tradition but whatever money they get for each piece it pays for things like badges, what they might need to complete an achievement. One year they used it to buy tickets to a proformace. This means less money out of parents pockets.

@Cheyee no scouts both boys and girls teach kids a lot of important things like safety, survival skills, how to talk to people, basic life skills, computer safety in the digital word. Many many other things. They also talk about service to there country, community, what makes a good scout and persons. You don’t have to camp, yes they do some singing abs no they don’t always do campfires most of the times it’s group activists like this weekend our Girl Scouts where doing first aid. They make booklets, created there own little first aid kit. Some things to do like how to check if someone is breathing, going over who do you call.

Oh, I don't miss those days. Taking orders is easy, delivering the orders.... now that was not fun. At least family should be easy to distribute.

This year we are not deliver too much it isn’t a big deal for family but a lot of people opted to have it delivered to there house but not by a girl which was fine with me. I plan on seeing make of them in the coming weeks so giving it to them wouldn’t be hard.

@ShyBear88 That's good. I remember it was girlscout cookies, and I had to hand-deliver them. Fun times. Now, you see girl scouts setting shop in parking lots and doing different kinds of drives.
