Talk to your doctor about what diet is best for you. Each patient is different. As for eating oatmeal, you can eat it any time. So long as you have a strong enough craving for it. If you force yourself to eat something you're not really hungry for, you won't get any value from it. And, your body might say 'i hate you' for it.

I used to live on quaker oats breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Not a fan of diets so really can't suggest you any.
