Alexis de Tocqueville, French philosopher and historian, came to the United States in the early 19th Century and wrote a book called Democracy in America. In this book he has the following quote: "America is great because America is good, and if America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great". Is this still relevant in today's America?

Sounds pretty relevant to me. It's not doing too 'good' or 'great' at the moment.

It's a disaster at present, but we have hope for the next year--especially now that we have a vaccine.

Based on the recent election result, I would say no. We were on a great path. Now who knows where we are headed.

@pjmurphy Higher taxes, free everything, a destroyed economy, foreign apologies, a decimated military, open borders, the return of terrorists... Gosh. I can't wait to join in the misery these 80 million idiots voted for.

It’s extremely relevant. It will be great again and soon. I wouldn’t live anywhere else.
