I have a bad habit of drinking tea at almost midnight with two tablespoons of sugar, I'm worried about diabetes but I can't refuse this good tea, by the way I'm a diabetic descent, my father has it. is there a safe alternative to take at night? don't suggest drinking water lol, i like a more "tasting" drink

Two tablespoons of sugar? No wonder you're worried about diabetes. Just start reducing the amount of sugar in your tea, just a little each week, until eventually you have no sugar at all in your tea. I did it, and now if I taste tea with sugar in it it tastes so syrupy I just turn my nose up! Admittedly, I wasn't having two tablespoons of sugar in my tea!

@youfiq Not if you get used to not taking sugar. After I reduced my sugar intake I then changed to green tea which is better for you.

It turns out that good things can get used to it, thank you very much for sharing, I will start reducing the use of sugar in my tea, but if you don't use sugar, a large cup of warm tea can taste bland too lol

I have never tried it, once I tried it using honey, this is a very delicious terrace but unfortunately honey and lemon are not available all the time in my house

@youfiq that depends on the reference you are using. I am not really familiar with it.

@youfiq Be very careful in taking your tea with sugar. You should consult a doctor first so that he can reccommend a better alternative than tea .

I'm sure there's a lot of tasty sugar free products that are out in the market to choose from and they're available online :-)

You can try drinking warm water instead. It helps to decrease craving.
