What is your opinion about alcoholics?

Do you judge them? Do you understand them? Do you hate them? What would you do if you would have them near you? I think that they can't stop drinking because they have some issues. They use alcohol, but other people use other things to forget their problems.

Well considering I do not drink because if I do I cannot have just one, I do sort of understand it.

I also understand them because I am addicted to sweets. I don't eat too many, but I am eating something sweet daily.
