Having healthy dessert (grapes and a few slices of watermelon) for tonight’s dinner. Watermelon is so refreshing which makes it an instant favorite. As what I’ve said in my previous post, I am now trying to live a healthier lifestyle as diabetes runs in the family. Before, I used to have cakes and chocolates for dessert, but I have to watch my sugar intake now.
What are you having for dessert for your lunch/dinner?

Watermelon and grapes... They sound delicious. I don't take desserts. That's for special occasions. And most Indian don't take fruits after afternoon. I have fruits for my mid morning snacks

@freelancermariagrace We have always been told to avoid it. Seems not the right time for body. Early morning fruits in breakfast is considered the best time. I guess some cultural thing that has passed through generations.

Fruit is a delicious and healthier type if sugar, but it is sugar and it will make your blood glucose readings higher. Being active will help that and it still is a healthier choice.

I don't eat dessert much anymore. Throughout the day, I might have a sweet treat for a snack, but apart from that, I try to eat a little healthier. Swapping out cakes and cookies for cereal.

That's nice. We really need to watch our food intake as we aren't getting any younger. Cereals sound good to me!

@freelancermariagrace Persimmon, bananas, apple and grapes. It depends on what I am craving when I am grocery shopping.

I usually don't have any dessert if I eat a big meal. I am trying to eat healthier also and stay away from the junk and sugar.

I now also shifted to eating more bananas, oatmeal and papayas daily. It's good that there's still watermelon, I always thought that they are more abundant during summer.

I see. Watermelons are typically abundant during the summer season. Actually, it's a seasonal fruit. Hence, I am surprised that the supermarkets have them, still.
