This morning I have an evaluation by the physical therapy department at the hospital. My doctor says the sciatic pain I am going through has lasted just long enough and it is time to do something. This afternoon I am doing a "power red" donation of blood. Used to be called "double red". It boils down to giving a concentrated whole blood donation that has twice as many red blood cells. I have a blood type that is in high demand because many can use it. So I am concentrating on fluids this morning. I will fill out online paperwork for the blood donation--called a "rapid pass" online after PT. Hubby probably works today, but the new schedule is not up. He will go when I go for PT. So that is what is up this morning, Monday, November 30, 2020.

Thank you for giving your blood, most appreciated by a lot of people, I can't donate blood unfortunately as I have a rare blood disorder. But I am very thankful for people like you, very, very thankful

I never started donating until in my forties, but the good feeling from helping others makes me want to keep on giving.

Arthritis? Torn meniscus? I will ask her to put her mind to it and diagnose it.

I think it will get better. I just need to get some core muscle strength, and also stretch and smooth the spasms.

@RebeccasFarm She gave me a heat treatment and an electric treatment and a massage to break things loose before she had me do exercises. If I keep up with them they will relieve the pain. It already has made a big difference.

hopefully yer gonna stick with the 'xercises 'n such'll ease 'til jest a memory, hon. icky schtuff, that sciatic pain. i 'lways wished to give blood though they'd a weight minimum to which i ne'er could 'btain. 'til i'd cancer, which then they'd not take 't then either. once that 'time frame' 'd passed, i'd developed'n auto-immune disorder. which's awful coz like yerself i'm 'f the 'universal type'.

There are many people who cannot give blood, so the rest of us need to be diligent. I have often heard that giving blood is much like an oil change and is good for you if you can do it. I am doing the prescribed exercises plus some more.

Yes. I have to retrain my core, tuck my tummy in for getting up and down, not hold my breath. I also have some stretches I should do twice a day.

Being able to do good makes me feel good. Sciatic will go away if I do my exercises and keep my appointments.
