A Very Expensive Past Few Days

But ultimately worth it, even for a cheap guy such as myself. On Friday, my dad came into town with his wife and we had the fam over and got some Beast Craft BBQ for dinner. We tried to have it delivered, but something was not working on the app, so we just went and got it. I offered to buy, so that cost around $200 with the tip. Friday morning we also stocked up on some beer and other refreshments. That was about $100. Saturday dad bought lunch, and we went over to my sister and brother in law's house for pizzas and some fun. So, we did not really spend much at all that day. Sunday we did our Thanksgiving at my sister and brother in law's house, and spent a little bringing some beer and two bottles of Evan Williams, got some stuff for crackers and a seafood dip my wife made, and I made a batch of scalloped potatoes. There went another $100 or so. I guess I will have to get on the phone with a few more customers today to get some more sales and boost my commission check.

A splurge once and a while is OK.

Most definitely, otherwise what's the point to having money, right?

@porwest That's right. This year we had the house painted and had Leaf Filter installed. Next year we will get a standby generator. Looking forward to that!

@LindaOHio I have been wanting to get a generator for years, but have yet to do it. Power goes out at least a couple of times a year, so it would definitely come in handy. Of course, as soon as I get one the power will never go out. lol

Sometimes it is worth it to spend money. I'm glad you had a good weekend with your family.

We work so hard to make it, and of course we also work very hard to save it. So, enjoying some of it from time to time is what it's all about. As I always say, save on the things you need so you can afford to spend on the things you want.

Money spent on family is never wasted in my opinion.

Those family get togethers will long be remembered more than the money spent. Especially with the Covid restrictions now.

Every moment in this life counts. Make it count. Not sure who said that, but it is something I live by. Most of the time, anyway.

It's great you have the money to do this. Hopefully you'll soon recoup it.

When spending is up, for whatever reason, I usually add shares to something offering dividends to make an effort to increase the annual income...but usually not to the amount spent. lol

Yeah holiday's can definitely be expensive. I spent 138 on groceries Friday for my nieces birthday party (helped out my sister) and then I spent alot christmas shopping so far maybe 200 dollars I spent over the weekend. I'll be spending more this week when I go shopping but thankfully the holiday's are once a year and then we can start saving again!

Yeah cuz I can't help with your bills, lol. At least you didn't have to provide the food for the whole weekend. Did anyone else help with the drinks? Is beast craft a name for a restaurant?

Nothing wrong with splurging once in a while. If you can afford it of course.

All worth it for your family time. Once in a while maybe isn't that bad.
