I heard them talking about a Covid relief fund again and that they are hoping to get it approved before the end of the year. The only thing I hear about is extending unemployment till the end of March and an amount of small businesses but what that amount is I have not heard about. I would also like to know what else is hidden in there that they are not talking about but the Democraps seem to like about it.
I also noticed that the last two days have been the deadliest for Covid since April. Not sure I believe that and the article I read didn’t say if that was just in the US or world wide or what it was. They just put up a bunch of numbers.
I love the stories I am hearing from different sources. I heard recently that wearing a mask every day is not good for you and then another one is saying that we should be wearing them all the time even at home if you do not live alone. I love how it seems everyone is just making up their own rules and no one seems to really know what to do.
Well aside from all that mess I hope your Wednesday was a good one. Mine was alright, the day went by fairly quick and that is a good thing when you are at work.

I agree with you when it comes to the train wreck that is Covid. If people would actually get on the same page, and not make things up as they go along. It wouldn't be such a mess. I also find it rather convenient timing this hit during Trump's last year in office. Is the virus itself real? I am leaning tward's 'maybe'. How does one "new" virus defey all logic? Defey everything we were thought? Why do grown adults need the CDC to tell you to wash your hands? I also don't like how the government isn't more forthcoming about what they're doing as far as 'relief' efforts. Glad to hear they finally stopped fighting like children and came up to an agreement.

And, is our next president.... that is not a comforting thought. Then again, a lot of people were surprised Trump won in 2016, despite having no background in politics. @Bensen32

Well not sure they have actually come to an agreement yet. They still have to vote on it as far as I know.
It's hard to believe anything these days. One side saying one thing and the other saying another. A lot of finger pointing and who knows what the real story is about anything.
You have Trump who thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread and then you have Biden who has done a whole lot of nothing for 47 years.

There's so much contradiction that's it's hard to know what to believe. I wear a mask when I go out but not at home.
Do you have to wear a mask at work?

@Marilynda1225 That is what I think. Yeah, we don't have a choice other than on break and lunch when I go outside.

While the “democraps” are their usual disappointing capitulating selves, I am far more disgusted with the republicants who keep denying us any relief. We now have over 18 million cases in the USA, when we started at a mere 15. The exponential growth of this virus is astounding. The defiance of the stay at home orders and the porous barely there face coverings aid the spread. The right wing and corporate democrats had no problem coughing up trillions to assist large corporations at the onset of this, but, the reason we are leading the world in cases and deaths is because at best, we working class citizens were given a measly $1,200.00 to last over nine months. Our neighboring countries have granted their citizens universal basic income of $2,000 a months for at least six months, and they have an amazing containment on the virus compared to us. It all comes down to the oligarchs needing the working class to risk their own lives so that the oligarchs can continue to rake in the billions the working class actually earns them.

My thoughts about the mask are like this: if everybody is wearing them, and they are the best protection against the virus, then why are the virus numbers skyrocketing right now? Seems to me the masks are pointless if our numbers keep going up.

@Bensen32 Exactly. They just need to admit that the masks aren't working with this virus. It may have worked for the spanish flu in 1918, but it isn't working now.

@moffittjc I don't think they are, I mean some of the masks I see people wearing are no more than pulling your shirt over your mouth. I can't see that really helping anything.
