For one thing it is Friday. For another thing I am so sick of leftovers from Thanksgiving. On top of that I really do not feel like cooking. So, we are having Chinese delivered tonight. We will have the usual. 2 orders of spring rolls (4 total), a quart of shrimp fried rice, 8 crab Rangoon, and then two combination platters that come with both pork fried rice and an egg roll. I tried again to get my chicken teriyaki on a stick. But they are still not selling it. I laughed and said, "What the hell is the deal with the chicken teriyaki sticks?" "Oh, we no sell now due to the virus." "What in the hell does a chicken teriyaki stick have to do with the virus? You're selling chicken everything else." No response. "Never mind," I said, and just continued to complete my order. It should be here soon and it will be good and a nice break from turkey. What's going on your plate tonight?

Just a single chicken drumstick and a cup of rice.

Hey, even that sounds good. Although a single drumstick would probably not be enough to fill me up.

@porwest I'm not eating much. I control my food intake. Of course, one drumstick isn't enough for me.

Sweet and sour pork does sound good, now that you mention it. I have not had that in a while.

Maybe the sticks are lower in the manufacturing list and in short supply like TP once was. I've not had Chinese in years and miss it but it doesn't go very well with my keto foods. We had baked potatoes and BLTs also not on my keto list. Well the sandwich was but not the potatoes.

I am not sure what the deal is, but I do know many restaurants have shortened their menus a bit for whatever reason. Maybe that was the reason? Either way, I want my sticks dammit!

That's good you took a break from turkey leftovers. Chinese sounds good. I made chili the day before and I'm still eating it. I should finish it off today.

@just4him They are in the freezer at work. I will probably bring them home Monday or Tuesday. I am sure a pot will probably get made sometime next week.

I was just saying I need to make a batch of chili. In fact, my brother in law has some ground deer meat he offered me, and that would be perfect in a chili.

I love Chinese. I just had some French fries. My hubs bought an extra order with his burgers.

@porwest By the time I ate the fries I wasn't hungry anymore. A burger on the grill would have been good; but it's too cold outside!

@LindaOHio Yeah, as much as I love grilling out, when the weather is not nice I cook inside.

It's funny for us. We rarely ever go into a Chinese restaurant to eat. I mean, we have. But usually when we do it's a buffet or something. 99.9% of the time when we have Chinese, it's for delivery. What's in the slow cooker?

Almost all the places I have ever been to here are run by Chinese and cooked by Chinese. I have seen a few Mexicans hired to do it though. But it is rare.

I had half a can of soup. I gained weight yesterday and so I cut back today. I'm very tempted to order Chinese one of these days.

I honestly have no idea. We had pizza last night and seeing that I don't do any of the cooking... I will see when I'm called to dinner. And you just reminded me that I have cookies to bake. I nearly forgot!!

From time to time I will make homemade egg rolls, but never spring rolls for whatever reason. But my sister makes some pretty good ones.

They are not selling chicken teriyaki because technically that is Japanese . But yah, I don't know that has to do with the virus . I have no idea for us . . . maybe I should make chicken teriyaki .

Sounds delish. I had a Chalupa Box and McDonald's fries and chocolate chip cookies. I was starving having come from my blood draw for my doctor today. I'm filled now but got room for some grapes I should finish soon.
