"The Christmas Chronicles" was Fine, but "The Christmas Chronicle 2" was ... the Seed of the Whole Story

I just saw The Christmas Chronicles & The Christmas Chronicles 2, and my imagination is bubbling!
SPOILER ALERT (putting some 'place-holder' text here so you can go to a different post if you don't want me to spoil it)
It stars Kurt Russell as Santa & Goldie Hawn as ... did Santa's wife ever have a first name? or was it always just Missus?
If she didn't already have a name, I vote for 'Eve.'
... maiden name 'Baird'? (See 'Eve Baird' https://thelibrarians.fandom.com/wiki/Eve_Baird
)
enough Alert?
Good
I'm not sure if 'The Christmas Chronicles' (the set of books in the Claus-couple's guest-bedroom) was even in the first movie; they were FEATURED in the second movie---the Chronicles told of 'the main antagonist,' a former elf named Belsnickel.
If they go ahead with the sequels that could spring from this, they'll probably deal with 'the fact that Christianity STOLE most of Christmas from the Yule-festivals going on at the time'---especially since the movie kinda STOLE some things from Christianity ... The Star of Bethlehem, which they refer-to without ever mentioning 'what it was originally for.'
Another direction sequels could go---Mrs. Claus started 'PRIVATE BENJAMIN'-ing Santa's Village ... she designed the hundreds-of-thousands of shops there, so she FINALLY suggested that it be called Mrs. Claus's Village!
In sum, it's a good start!
