I love going to craft fairs just to see what is out there and get ideas of what I can make. I don't generally buy any because I know i can make my own.

I get a lot of ideas from looking at what others are doing. I generally do it just a little different (sometimes a lot different) and put my own unique spin on it. I make it my creation lol. It is funny how two people can sit down with a lump of clay and both make a dolly according to a laid out plan and each one looks totally different from the other!

that is what I so love about doing crafts. You can all have the same materials and it will still look different.

I will go with my mom to craft fairs. I like to see what is new or something that might grab my attention. I like to make things myself so that gives me a lot of ideas.

I go for the same reason. I haven't bought much of anything at a crafts fair except a couple of times I have bought my daughter something when she was little. She is 16 now and still likes to go to flea markets and such.

Thanks. I have bought a few crafts online. I recently bought a handcrafted rag doll for my great neice. It was so cute!

I like to make handcrafted items more than buying them.
I like looking at things and sometimes I can figure out how to make them.
Anyhow, crafting is an important part of my life.

I have never been to a flea market, but I do go to craft shows. I sell at them also. I make hair bows and bow displays(boards and ribbon hangers), photo boards, hand painted or otherwise embellished overalls etc. My mom does crochet hats and scarves, we do embellished flip flops in the summer.

Oh, I love to make things on my own. Usually, when my friends happen to see those stuff , they place their order. So I move on making these handcrated items. NOT bad uh? hobby makes money. SMILE :D

I turned my hobbies into a fullfledged business. I developed my own website to sell my arts and crafts. I love it.

Thanks. I am in the middle of launching two new lines Big Sweet Tots (ceramics) and Lil Sweet Tots (polymers). So what do you and your mom create?

no, i don't buy craft items, but here in the Philippines, there are lots of handicrafts made by the locals which were bought by most tourists.
I guess handicrafts deserve to have a higher value compared to industry made things as the hand mades were given more effort, time and of course skill by determined group of people..

I make hair bows, AKA boutique hair bows. I love making fluffy, funky, and colorful ones. My daughter wears them and always turns heads and gets compliments. I have a myspace page promoting them; I sell locally and through online orders.
