Homemade pizza for dinner

My husband and I had homemade pizza tonight for dinner. My son had corn dogs since he hates pizza but they turned out really well. We made our own dough and our own sauce. Our sauce was actually frozen from the last time we made them. We used a pizza stone too.
They actually tasted like delivery pizza which wasn't something I was expecting. My husband used a bit too much flour but they were still amazing. I put pineapple on mine which I know is a controversial topping but I stick by the fact that pineapple does belong on pizza. My husband put chicken, pineapple, and jalapeno peppers on his. I sometimes like a lot of toppings but today I just wanted more flavor from the pizza.
It baked up well and it's probably the best pizza we ever made. I don't like buying jarred sauce or premade pizza crust. I am still shocked at how well they turned out. Our last experience wasn't a good one since we didn't have a pizza paddle at the time and my husband swore we'd never make them again but we did today and while it made a mess they turned out delicious. We had to clean up a lot of flour but it was worth it. We both said they were something we plan on doing again.
The picture is my pizza.

Thanks, and I think shot is going to the extremes that said you don't know what you're missing. It is amazing. It's the salty-sweet combination that makes it amazing. A lot of people who don't like it haven't even tried it and yeah, some have tried it and don't like it but that's because they don't have taste :P lol. In all seriousness, a good portion of the people who don't like it haven't tried it. It's true people won't like everything others like but sometimes it's the idea of two foods that seem odd together that puts them off from trying it. I remember doing a buzzfeed poll about whether pineapple belongs on pizza and it was literally split 50/50 which was amusing lol. That said I draw the line at strawberry and kiwi on pizza and also candy corn on pizza which someone actually tried and that one made me gag.

@sissy15 Maybe shooting someone over pineapple on a pizza IS a bit extreme.
Actually, I have tried it and don't like it, but I would not say it is horrible either. I mean, it's tolerable. Just not a first choice for me. I won't spit it out. But...
lol
There are probably a lot of people who say they don't like it who probably have not tried it as the study suggests. Some people are just like that. What can you do?
As for the latter choices you mentioned, those are pure

Thank you, I love vegetables too but we didn't have much. We used what we had. I love onion on mine usually. If I have pineapple on mine sometimes I'll put ham and red onion on it. Other times pepperoni and red onion, and red bell pepper. I like different combinations and different sauces. Sometimes I like BBQ sauce as the sauce or ranch dressing as the sauce. I also like broccoli and chicken with ranch dressing on mine from time to time. Today I just decided I only wanted pineapple with a traditional pizza sauce. I don't regret my decision.

@sissy15 Good that you liked your choice. It's good to have variations. I am a vegetarian by choice. I love to have all different combinations there on my pizza. Mushrooms and olives are my favorite.

@arunima25 Honestly mushrooms and olives are two that I can't stand. I can tolerate them if I have to but as a whole, I really don't care for them. I like to mix it up a bit and sometimes I can be a traditionalist and just eat plain cheese.

This is a good example of how American cuisine is different. For an Australian like me, your pizza is w-a-a-a-a-a-a-y too thick. I'm not sure if it's the dough base or the cheese, but I assume it's both. We'd have a lot less cheese and more other toppings, like the pic attached (and notice how thin the crust is).
We do have Domino's here and some other franchises that make American-style pizzas. We have pineapple on pizza here too, by the way. And beetroot in our hamburgers.

Actually, not all pizza here is thick. You can get a thin crust pizza with about that same type of crust in that picture. Despite what my pizza looks like that crust actually isn't as thick as it looks. That said I do like a thicker crust but not super thick. I like something in the middle. We have a place here where I hate their thicker crust and prefer their thin crust. Pizzas here vary tremendously from place to place. You can get about any type of pizza imaginable here depending on where you go. Some have more toppings and less cheese, some are super cheesy and way too cheesy for me, the crust can be thin or thick. We get options when we order about how thick we want our crust it's just that most people here do prefer a thicker crust. I recently tried pizza hut's stuffed crust pizza again and found I hated it. I tried it once back in the 90s and didn't care for it then either. I actually don't like a ton of cheese.
