Do You Wear Your Hair Up More Than Down??

This is for all of you out there with long hair or maybe a time when you did have long hair and then decided that it was too much bother?
I have pretty much had long hair all of my life. I can remember when I was young and I had a cut called the Duck Tail! I have no idea what I did wrong to get that kind of a hair cut. It's pretty hideous. Your hair actually looks like a "duck tail" in the back. I guess it was cute back in the early 60s, but I certainly have never forgotten it. And hated it! ;)
From the time I had any say in the matter, I let my hair grow and grow and grow. Now why I don't honestly remember other than it was the fashion in the late sixties, but more often than not, I would pin it up. When "messy buns" became the rage... that was my choice more often than not. It was just easier to manage. I can't count the times when I would slam the car door and my hair would get caught in the door.
So, now it's your turn... I'm really curious about your preference!

I have long-ish hair, just a few inches past my shoulders. I wear my hair up in a ponytail when at work, and I wear my hair down at home and when we are traveling for pleasure. But I always bring my favorite silk scrunchies if I decide that I want my hair up. Usually the weather dictates how I wear my hair. If it's humid, I want it up and not sticking on the back of my neck or away from my face.

I prefer to wear it down but 99% of the time I wear it up.

I had long hair all my life, now it's shorter, shoulder long. In the sixties my hair was really long and I also remember sitting on my hair or slamming the car door on my hair. When I was young sometimes I made a pony tail, getting "older" I made a French Twist, now I keep the hair down.

@Hate2Iron I have long hair. It's almost past my lower back. I like to tie my hair up in a bun just like that in my profile photo. I've tried having short hair during my high school days but i never liked how I looked. Having short hair requires costly maintenance compared to having long hair. You need to go to a parlor every month to maintain the shape of your haircut otherwise it would look untidy.

I have very short hair, so I couldn’t wear it “up” if I wanted to!!!

Mine is usually down. When it gets real hot out I often put a skull cap on and tie it in that to hold it off my neck.

I had longer hair once a long long time ago when I was a kid. Nowadays I have short hair and my hair looks better short. Since my hair is short I cannot wear it up. I also wear a hat when go out and so most of my hair is underneath my hat.

My long, long hair was worn mainly down. Now I keep it short. I have naturally wavy hair; so I don't have to do anything but wash and brush.
