Mud, What mud?

Took my grandson to Buck Lake Wildlife Management Area yesterday. It was the first time I had ever been there so I was not sure what to expect. The last thing grandma said before we left was "He is wearing his school cloths so don't let him get dirty." The gate is on highway 46 just east of the St. Johns river. Walk-in access is allowed year round, and vehicle access is allowed to those participating in a hunt. It is currently small-game season so we drove in on road 1. It is a good thing I have a 4-wheel-drive truck! Anyways, we stopped at a trail head that looked dry. It did not take the little guy long to find mud, sorry grandma.

Oh dear, maybe a change of clothes instead of wearing school clothes

Probably would have been the prudent thing to do. But then I wouldn't have this story to tell.

So true. On top of that, the rules are a little different with grandpa than they are with mom and dad.

He is definitely an outdoors boy. At 4 he still hasn't met a tree that he doesn't want to climb
