Christmas and New Year Celebration

Christmas and New Year are fast approaching and this time would be different in terms of celebrating the season because of the pandemic. Before, we used to spend it with my relatives aside from my immediate family. This year, it would be an intimate celebration with my family which has 4 members. It may not be the same as before but I am on the positive side that the most important thing is I get to spend it with the most important people in my life. How do you plan on celebrating your Christmas and New Year?

It's been almost a month until the New Year and Christmas, and I honestly don't think about it. I don't like holidays.

This Christmas it will probably be just my husband and I. New Year's - usually with a lot of friends but I don't think it will happen this time. I hope to at least spend time with my family in the Philippines, we were there last year.

I'm sure you miss your family here in the Philippines. It is totally different this time. Let's stay positive it will get better in the future and we can all celebrate with our loved ones.

The octave of Christmas begins with Christmas Day and ends on New Year's Day (the solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God to Roman Catholics, and the solemnity of the Naming and Circumcision of the Infant Jesus to the Anglicans). Christmas is the shortest season of the liturgical calendar. Yet it is the most celebrated. I love the gathering of clans, the feasting and the exchanging of gifts, but the pandemic compelled us to focus on the family, the most important people in our lives.
