First thing first, if you feel gross about chicken feet, please ignore this post, thank you.
Okay, today's dinner is kerabu (sort of salad) made of chicken feet. I love chicken feet and kerabu is one of the healthiest version to enjoy it.
To make this kerabu, you need to boil the chicken feet until they're soften enough to be separated from the bones. I prefer to serve mine without the bones. Easier to eat and look better too.
The juice from boiling the feet can be used to cook rice. I don't want to waste any of it. It's full of goodness.
Then, removed the bones and mix the flesh with chilies, sugar, salt, lime juice, kaffir lime leaves and shallots. I also add tomatoes, chopped celeries because I wanted to clear out the stock and shredded carrot. I was out of lemongrass and not interested to venture into the backyard to get some. So I would've got to go without it. I also add some fish sauce to add to the taste.
That's part of my dinner for tonight. What's on yours?

I like your recipe although I have not tasted it. Doctors here prescribe chicken feet broth, specially to poor people as they are inexpensive, when they lack vitamons.

@marguicha how do you buy chicken? I get those chicken feet from a night market. They're also available in the supermarket. I used to ask a chicken seller to keep the feet for me. Some people don't like chicken feet so they would discarded them.
