Day 125
Promise 584
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
People like to belong, but they don’t like to be owned. They like to feel they are their own person.
Paul once again told them they were the temple of the Holy Ghost and they were no longer their own person. They belonged to God. Jesus paid the price for their salvation. Since God owned them, they needed to glorify Him.
As Christians, you understand Jesus paid the price for your salvation with His blood on the cross. You accepted that you aren’t your own person, but the Holy Ghost lives in you and helps you with your walk in Christ Jesus. Therefore, everyday needs to be a day of praise for what God did for you in freeing you from Satan’s bondage and giving you eternal life.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for my salvation through Your Son, Jesus. Help me walk in You as the Holy Spirit teaches me what You want me to know. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Aw, how I have missed these. These days I need them more than ever. I feel very blessed with all that has been going on in the world these days. I have a roof over my head and food to eat. I know far too many who are having problems with the basis of life.

I often think that we don't understand this passage clearly enough. With all the garbage we put into our bodies, all the things we do to our bodies, and the way we live our lives, you would think that our bodies were meant to be a trash dump instead of a temple.

@just4him I see non-Christians who do a better job than Christians do. Sometimes it makes me shake my head.
