My first serious error

Philippines
December 14, 2020 10:16pm CST
While I was watching an online church mass, the laptop suddenly went into a error state and restart. From there I shutdown the computer again and clean it up a bit. I have a bad feeling this would turn out worst in the future unless I have it diagnosed by an expert. It's my fault anyways I often keep it on and then when I go outside i forget it most of the time. I learned my lesson it won't happen again.

Oh that is serious if the laptop would just stop in the middle of you using it. I think it is really good that you have it diagnosed to be sure that it is not something hardware or just a software glitch. If that would be a hardware problem then that will cost you more since it is hardly that when hardware is at fault you might need to replace a new one that have that faulty hardware replaced. If it is software problem then it just needs reinstalling something or maybe deleting some files that may be causing it to malfunction.

@Letranknight2015 If force shutdowns is the cause then most likely it is a software problem that is at fault. Most probably some files have been corrupted when they are not shut down properly.

Or buy a new laptop and transfer the files while this one needs diagnosis @rsa101 . But I search it on youtube maybe I have done a lot of forceful shutdown lately, that must be the case too.

All of us learn from our errors. For example if the wire of the monitor is not plugged properly, the power light does not on to light up the monitor.

I have never had that one with this one but have to do many reboots or hard shutdowns because will freeze up. This one is pretty powerful to, much better than what is out there for price, not a memory problem or space problem it was like this when I bought it. The first week it froze and had to hard boot it. I do the same I leave it on all the time but I always thought they are designed for that. Work stuff and knowing you will be taking breaks, but you are right probably just best to shut them down every time when not using it.

@Letranknight2015 Its hard to save anything these days with costs, but I was amazed at how pc prices went up, I am like damn I am going to have to buy a Chromebook and they supposed to be good for what they do but you cannot play video games or do anything major on them. No memory or storage, just for viewing internet and can work over internet but no saving files for most part. No space

Hope it's not a big issue and you don't need an expert hand. Well, lessons are always learnt hard way.

That looks like a beginning of hardware issue, if I am not mistaken that is. If it happened often, best to get it check. You might want to back up important files as well. Hardware issue or not, back up is always important. Less headache in the future.
