Do you have a personal "passion project" that you're currently working on?

Most of us are pretty busy all the time these days, even with the restrictions many of us face because of the pandemic. Although I'll bet we've all seen people on our social media and elsewhere who have at least tried to use this opportunity to dive into a personal "passion project" that they hadn't had the time to get round to before. I know that I might never have decided to finally start working on my novel if I hadn't been basically stuck at home for such long stretches. While I reckon no one should pretend that the pandemic is a good thing, I so believe in at least trying to look on the bright side. So, I figured it might be really encouraging and supportive to a lot of people if we share any projects that we're working on, however simple or small, to inspire others and demonstrate our human creativity and resilience. Like I said, it doesn't have to be some great big world changing thing, it could be that you've maybe finally tried out that new recipe, or filled a notebook with cartoons, or maybe learned how to knit, or maybe just got to level X in your favorite video game! So I'm trying to finally write my book. You?

@Borlotti I have two passion projects one of which I'm currently working. I'm studying Sanskrit, the oldest, classical and rich language of India. The other thing I want to do is writing the story of my younger sister who suddenly had a heart attack early in the morning on 10 th of February 2020 and succumbed within seconds.

Hi! Thank you for your contribution. First up, let me say I'm so sorry to read what you said about your sister. That must be very, very hard for you. But I do think the idea of studying Sanskrit is fascinating! You must be pretty smart. Thank you so much for sharing.

@Shivram59 Hi, thank you so much for sharing that deeply moving information. I know that losing your sister must have been a terrible experience and must still be a traumatic experience for you. But I think it's wonderful that you were with her, reading a story to her, when she passed. I know that when you're ready, you'll write her story and that will be a special gift for all of you.

Ever since I first used a dictionary, I was fascinated by 'the words that words come-from (and the words that those words come-from, and the ... etc.)' (etymologies, and the etymologies of those etymologies). So I've been finding those etymologies and linking them all with their etymologies' etymologies on my blog. Oh, sometimes there'll be 'a theme' (often The Bible, often the cast & crew & characters of TV-shows or movies I've been watching, often friends' and familiy-members' names); but always Etymology.

@Borlotti You might think that's funny, but I really have 'done' that word. 'The word “Etymology” (Linguistic Science treating of the Historical Evolution of Words) is built on “True Sense, Original Meaning (Real, Actual, be Stable) + Study of, a Speaking of”.' From there, I research and 'do' another word (as well as 'doing' all the other words). 'The word “Original” is built on “to Rise” (to Arise, Lift, Raise, Set in Motion, Move).' and so-on ...

Hi! That's so cool! I read a lot, but I guess I've never really thought about where all the words come from. And I guess language is changing all the time and new words are coming in as old words go out. And thanks for introducing me to the word "etymology". That's a new one for me. But here's a question for you: what's the etymology of the word etymology?

@mythociate Wow! That's amazing. You should write a book about it. Have you ever thought of that? And how many words have you "done" so far? Do you keep a count or a list or something?

@Borlotti I love to draw. I also have my own project to create webtoon. It's in fantasy-action-adventure genres. I already have the general story of this project, but my writing skill seems bad. So, for now I decide to learn writing novel and make novel version first before making my webtoon. Wish me all the best.
