Took a Snowball in the Face!

So sorry I haven’t been here today. We had our first big snowstorm of the season.
We were lucky that we only had one foot of snow, didn’t lose power, and are grateful the plow arrived early to plow our driveway and sidewalk, and to use the snowblower. The sunshine melted any remaining snow from the driveway and walkways.
Unfortunately, I had two minor accidents. The first was during a snowball fight with my husband. I didn’t duck in time and got hit in the face with a snowball. . It didn’t hurt, but we laughed like crazy!
My second accident was when I went to visit the kitties at their little gravesites. I stepped into a snow bank, lost my balance, and fell onto my knees, gloveless hands, and then belly. The embarrassing part is that my neighbors were walking their dogs and saw me fall! They offered to come help me get up, but I told them I was fine. We wished each other Happy Holidays!
I read the rest of the day.

Thank goodness that you are okay in terms of your health after your fall.

First of the snow! Smacked by a snowball . . . I hope you threw one back at your husband . Oh no, the fall - I hope you're ok - must've been slippery! I don't know if we'll be visiting any snow this season . . . you're lucky you have it right there!

Oh, I got him good, too, but aimed in a different location.
I'm okay, but in my haste to visit the kitties, I stepped into a snowbank rather then taking a chance on the sidewalk. I wasn't sure if it was icy. My fault. It was so deep and held me hostage. I had mini snowballs hanging from all over, which soaked through my clothes. I'm not lucky. I hate the stuff and would rather be on a sunny beach.

When I read that title, the first thing I thought was "ouch". Still do after reading the post, itself. At least you seem in good sports despite the fall.

Oh Dianne, I hope your knees and hands are fine, after falling! Tell hubs, when he least expects it, 'watch out!' I think revengeful

@DianneN When Taylor came to Michigan, she was a year old. Her parents bundled her in snow pants, boots, a scarf, hat and a coat with a hood. When they took her outdoors, she screamed! The poor baby wasn't use to being bundled up, not able to move

Happily, you were all right ! Your landing must have been cushioned by the fresh snow.
