Tons of snow today and an ultrasound tomorrow

Yesterday it started snowing around 3pm and continued into today. We got 20 inches of snow.
Being nauseated and faint I didn’t go out to help shovel. Usually I pretty much do all the shoveling but I have a husband now to do it. My son helped him for about 2 hours. My husband was out there the majority of the day. We have a long driveway and he had to shovel the sidewalk, dig out his truck and my car, fix the beagles kennel that collapsed on him under the weight of the snow and shovel a path for my little dog to go the bathroom.
I finished reading a few Christmas books this month. Today I finished one called “No place like home” by Fern Michaels. Being so nauseated laying around reading is about all I can do.
I am pretty sure I have a uti. I will be getting blood work, an ultrasound and my urine tested tomorrow. I’m excited to see my little baby on the screen tomorrow. After Christmas I will post the photo on Facebook to share the news with everyone. I have to make sure my husbands parents and grandmothers card arrives before telling everyone else though.
The photo is of the card I’m giving all the siblings and our parents. Once they scratch off the heart it says Baby L***** due 7-30-21.

@sallypup wow yeah that would be next to impossible to do without a plow. My father came over after dinner and plowed out the mailbox and the rest of my driveway with his four wheeler.
When the state goes by it buries the end of our driveway again. I went out now and had my son help me shovel it out so I can get to my appointment. I started getting faint and had to come inside while my son finishes it.

@iKONICNoona I got the idea for the scratch off card on Pinterest then customized what it said to announce I’m having a baby. I can’t wait to hear and see their reactions.
I still don’t know the results from the urine cultures. I’ll call tomorrow if I don’t hear from the doctor by then.

@Tina30219 lathe baby’s measuring right where it should be size wise. Glad to see there’s only one baby in there. I was nervous with my husbands teasing.

I hope you get to feeling better, and it is nothing but a UTI. (Can you take antibiotics for that while you’re pregnant?)

@Fourwalls yes I will be able to take an antibiotic for the uti if that’s what it is. I had them the entire pregnancy with my daughter. With my son I didn’t have any until I got a really bad one that put me into labor with him two weeks before my due date.
I’ve been taking a cranberry +d-mannose pill daily to try to prevent from getting any utis this time around but I don’t think it worked. I had a disease as a kid that did light kidney damage so I get utis often.

@RasmaSandra everything looked good on the ultrasound. The doctor will call in a few days with the results from my urine culture, blood work and ultrasound.

That's very creative. I am sorry to hear you're having a rough pregnancy.. I am sure it'll be nice to have a picture of your soon-to-be child. Hope you're not dealing with a UTI, those are the worst.

@kaylachan I had them chronically while pregnant with my daughter. I was so glad not to have any with my son but then at two weeks before my due date I got a really bad one that put me into labor. Pushing him out was so painful. Every contraction made my urethra throb painfully and every push hurt so much.

@Aries1973 I know I am but so nervous a out the labor. My first labor was rough and my second I had a uti so pushing him out was so painful. My husband was almost 7 lbs at a month early so I think this will be a big baby

@LadyDuck I was nervous about the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy due to the ovary pain I’ve had. I asked her during the ultrasound if she could see any cysts and she did say I had a cysts on my right ovary that’s not small but not huge either. I wonder if that’s something that can be removed when i get my tubes tied.

@paigea I mixed 2 tsp acrylic paint with 1 tsp dawn dish soap then just painted it on over the clear contact paper.
I feel less nauseated during the day the past two days but am still very faint. From about 6pm until I go to sleep about 9:30 I have to lay on the couch with my eyes closed I’m so nauseated. It’s still improvement from the all day and all night nausea I had for 3 weeks.

@Cheyee yes it is way to much snow to fall at once. My husband finally shoveled me a path to the garbage can and to the mailbox. By the time the mail arrives here it is dark. My coat is black and I was having to walk in the road to the mailbox. I was scared of getting hit.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I got a call from the doctor yesterday to go over the ultrasound results and was glad to hear from her that things looked good. The ultrasound tech isn’t usually allowed to tell if there is anything wrong.

@Courtlynn I called Monday and my phone appointment was supposed to be the following day. The secretary forgot to add me to the schedule so I had to wait to talk to her until Wednesday. I got the ultrasound and blood work and urine tested Friday. She called today to tell me everything looks good on the ultrasound but she hasn’t gotten the urine results back yet from them running the cultures. It hurts pretty bad down there so I hope the results come in soon especially before the doctors office is closed for the holidays.

@CarolDM yep to dang much snow. I shoveled a short amount in order to get out my driveway the second day but starts to faint so my son finished it on his own. Thank god for his help.
Everything looks good on the ultrasound. The baby is measuring where it should be size wise.
