This is so sad. Does your mom have dementia or Alzheimers? Or is this that she's angry with you? Ether way, I'll pray for you.

I sorry about that, and I wish there'd be something we can to about the dementia, but I guess all we could offer in myLot community is to be here to listen to you. I can only imagine how tough this is for you, but I hope you'll keep going and stay strong for your mom.

@Giannna Oh! I feel so sorry about her. Poor thing!
It must be tough for people around her to handle it. You need to stay strong and even support her. She needs you.

@Giannna This is truly very sad news. It's not easy watching somebody we love and cherish deteriorate mentally right before our eyes.

My mother also suffered from dementia toward the end of her life, and although she recognized me, she thought I was still a 10 year old child. She refused to accept that I was a grown adult. It was both sad and frustrating seeing her like that.

@Giannna That was the hard part for me too. Some of the things my mother would say to me were funny, but at the same time not funny. We just tried to make the best of a bad situation.

@Giannna I worked with dementia patients and they'd holler at me, for stealing their money! I'd never steal even one cent.

That's so rough. Try to remember that she's not mentally the same. The things she says don't really reflect how she feels about you. I'm sorry. Dementia is such a terrible thing to deal with. *Hugs*

For your mother to say this, she is injuring her own daughter! Apparently, she wants to control your life, which is wrong for a parent to do.

So sorry! Memory loss or dementia is a hardship on both the parent and family. My Dad suffered from dementia as he aged. Fortunately he did not forget who we were. Just know that this is a health issue and you are always her daughter and loved.
