L. Ron Hubbard (founder of Scientology) states that 'Reality' is "the group of opinions with which people agree." Of course, we reasonable people know that that's not exactly true (as there are things exist 'the way they are' whether anyone agrees that that's how they are or not). But it's 'an opinion that's agreed-on' by Lord Jesus, who put it, "if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." https://biblehub.com/matthew/18-19.htm

I don't agree with the philosophy of L Ron Hubbard, but he does write a good science fiction novel!

a few of https://www.orderofbooks.com/authors/l-ron-hubbard/ the books Hubbard wrote/inspired
He always said, "If you want a lot of money, you ought to start a religion!" I'm paraphrasing there, but it's always seemed like science-fiction was just one step away from religion (STAR TREK characters frequently comment on how their technology makes them seem like "gods" to pre-warp civilizations---one of the main reasons for their Prime Directive(s)). Personally, I've considered joining the Whovian Church for many years now
