Baking My First Cookies

in the new oven. I made sugar cookies and used some Christmas cookie cutters like Christmas tree, star, moon, and heart. I had to be careful and watched the oven while baking as I didn´t know yet how to manage it. I had to get used to our new oven. The cookies were baked in lesser than 10 minutes at 170°C and they were almost burned. The new oven is faster and more efficient than my older oven. I am happy about that. The cookies were so crunchy and delicious. I didn´t want them to be so brown but well, they were my first cookies in my new oven. Gladfully, some are not so brown and I have to put some frosting on them anyway as I use some of them for my Christmas cake toppers. I have baked 140 sugar cookies. This British cookies recipe is what I keep on making since the 1980s when I was still baking with my son during Advent time. Thanks for reading. How I wish I can let you taste my cookies. The photo is the only one I can share with you. Have a nice 4th Advent.

Yum! Our keto sugar cookies were a little browner than normal because we were not used to the recipe or the oven! I hope you enjoy the cookies.

@thelme55 I can't remember all the ingredients to be honest. I know we used keto sugar and maybe almond and coconut flours. We made three different types of cookies.

It's wonderful that you were able to make good cookies. As long as they came out tasting fine, that's all that should really matter.

We are enjoying them @DianneN . Thank you. I think I have to bake a new batch of cookies as they are almost gone. Hubby was asking where I put the bowl of cookies. I want to give some to my son together with the other gifts this Holy Eve.

@arunima25 I can relate to that. When I was in my home in the Philippines and my nieces were waiting that cookies or cake was done so they could eat. I am missing those times.

They look very good. It always takes time to get used to a new oven. There are always places in it which cook faster than others and probably these cookies are a very good test because they brown so quickly and you can see which areas are hotter than others. If you are putting icing on them, I think that some being a little browner than others won't matter too much. I'm sure that they will taste just fine!

You are right @owlwings. I was observing the oven while baking and I came to know what to do. I still have to bake a cake tomorrow and I will know a bit more about this oven. I agree with you. The color of the cookies didn´t matter as I have to put the icing on them anyway. Thank you and have a nice Sunday.

No, it is not. It is my tin bowl for everything. This tin bowl is an AMC kitchen product bought together with the cooking pots in the 90s. The cookies are brown but they are delicious and crunchy. Thanks @sol_cee
